Tebow, Broncos agree to 5-year deal worth $11.25 million
The unofficial holdout is over. Rookie quarterback Tim Tebow officially became a Bronco on Thursday afternoon after signing a five-year contract only two days and three practices late. Tebow and the Broncos reached an agreement on the $11.25 million contract, with $8.7 million guaranteed, just after the other rookies and quarterbacks Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn finished practice at about 4 p.m.
Rockies attract fans who stay forever young
The sign in the elevator to the Lakewood Meridian Retirement Community's Health Center announced the activity schedule for the day. At 6:40 p.m., the sheet noted: "Rockies ON!!!!" It's a scene played out almost every night during the baseball season, coast to coast. Senior citizens gather to watch and listen to major-league baseball, in groups or with family or alone.
